hello. It’s that time again when the big show about video games roars into life, and we’re here to tell you how to slam its big broadcast into your eyeballs. Gamescom 2024 is the event and you can watch its main event here – Gamescom Opening Night Live.
Yes, at least abandon any plans for one night and it’s time to let people talk to you through trailers, interviews, and gameplay showcases about something we all love and into which an almost terrifying amount of hard work has been put into. While there’s a lot to cover at Gamescom, like most events of this type, we’re focusing on the details of the main show, which Geoff Keighley will do below.
Watch on YouTube
You can watch the Gamescom opening night live broadcast today (August 20), which kicks off all the action across the show, as you can see above on 7:00pm BST, which is 8pm Central Daylight Time, 2pm Eastern Time and 11am Pacific Time. Seriously, just hit “play” when the time is up and then, you’ll see all the video games in about two hours or so. If you’d like to tune in, there’s also a preview half an hour before the main ONL broadcast.
What exactly is on the docket, you ask? Well, we’re sure there will be a slew of games showing, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, Dune Awakening, Civilization 7, Kingdom Come 2, and Indiana Jones and the Circle 》. Meanwhile, Keith teased a new horror game with a trailer that proclaimed “The beast is coming,” while Hideo Kojima returned to the cast of Death Stranding 2 in the past few days.
Keighley, on the other hand, confirmed that Hollow Knight: Silksong won’t be happening, so Silksongers are out of luck. Hey, at least I’m telling you in advance not to get your hopes up this time, swings and roundabouts.
