Both are horror games, and both are set on the French Western Front during World War I. conscriptjust being a soldier on the ground during World War I was considered terrifying enough.
You play as a young French recruit living in 1915 Verdun who just wants to go home with his brother. Unfortunately, you’re caught between the Germans and your own lunatic commanding the troops, who don’t believe in ordering you to certain death. After a losing battle, you end up alone behind what are now German lines and must find your way back through the trenches.
conscript Many of the mechanics and touchstones of classic survival horror are used, including some truly awkward combat, but without any of the science fiction or horror elements that typically characterize the genre. You won’t face zombies or mutants conscript. It’s just other people, they’re all just like you. That’s the main reason it’s a horror story.
