Katherine Jackson has worked in various films since she was a child. Now, at the age of 28, she has gone behind the scenes to produce and write her own films.
attachment theory It’s about “an agoraphobic woman who relies on an artificial intelligence machine to deliver anti-anxiety medication during a global pandemic. Driven by a desire to get a 5-star rating, the machine behaves abnormally and becomes downright scary.”
In an interview with Deadline, Jackson discussed her film, saying, “The film came about during the pandemic, when we were all in isolation and we became more reliant on technology.
“I see a lot of people suffering from mental health, anxiety, depression and agoraphobia. It’s the worst-case scenario of becoming dependent on this technology.
She continued: “I saw it as a calling card for making low-budget horror films, and my idea was a thriller with a sci-fi element.”
She calls her time growing up in New Zealand “a magical childhood, and when you grow up around hobbits, wizards, elves and orcs, how could it not be?”
She went on to say that her parents “were not allowed on the set and I banned both of them from visiting. I had a clear vision of what I wanted.
“My father is a director at heart, and he has the urge to express opinions. I’m sure those opinions are constructive and will make my movies better.
“But I believe the only way you learn is by making mistakes, and it’s best to follow your instincts. Even if you make mistakes, you’ll learn more than someone else telling you what to do. The whole short film for me was A learning experience.
She added: “They were just supportive. When dad showed me early clips of what he’d done, and mum showed me some of the scripts she’d finished, I had enough chatting with them.
“They asked me for feedback. But we had different styles. I pitched some ideas to my dad and he said, I don’t quite understand it. I looked over the draft and my mom understood the AI element right away, but I It took Dad a while to agree.
“But you have to do it for yourself, and if it resonates with you, that’s what you have to follow.”
