Rimac, the company behind the blazingly fast Nevera EV, says the new Nevera R makes it even faster. Accelerates to 60 mph faster than the original.
The electric car apparently produces 2,107 hp, which is about 200 hp more than its predecessor. On top of that, Rimac says the Nevera R has better aerodynamics, more downforce and improved grip, and it managed to beat the Nevera’s lap time at the Nardo Ring, a high-speed Italian circuit owned by Porsche. A reduction of 3.8 seconds.
Like the regular Nevera, the new electric supercar requires “manufacturer supervision” to unlock its 256 mph top speed. Without this, the car would reportedly be limited to 217 mph Motor Trend. The outlet said Rimac expects the car’s 108kWh battery to have a range of about 250 miles on the European WLTP cycle, but it has not yet been certified.
