this monster universea name I’ve only seen in press releases, starting in 2014 Godzilla. Since then the franchise has expanded with this movie which is actually pretty good Kong: Skull Islandsome more interesting sequels with multiple monsters, and even a TV show Apple+. Now, the Monsterverse is expanding again, this time into the interactive wonderland of video games.
On August 15, Legendary Pictures announced plans to launch three different games. Godzilla/King Kong universe. Now, before you get too excited, know that one of the games is an action game that looks… good. Available for pre-order now on Android and iOS.

A new “King Kong” game is coming later this year
The big news announced today is the third game, King Kong: Survivor Instinct. According to Legendary and developer 7Levels, the new Kong game is a “2.5D action-adventure game for PC and consoles.” The story is set shortly after the events Godzilla vs. Kong Players take on the role of a father, exploring a “broken city” while searching for his missing daughter.

“The opportunity to work on the popular Monsterverse IP has been an exciting and growing experience for everyone at 7Levels,” said Paweł Biela, co-founder of the studio. “Not only do we have the opportunity to draw from a unique Angle showcases some of the fan-favorite Titans, and we’ve found loyal and supportive partners in the incredible talent at Legendary Pictures.”
So it sounds like the game won’t have you playing as King Kong or Godzilla, but instead will focus on humans trying to survive monster attacks. Sounds like fun! It does sound better than the last King Kong game.
Skull Island: The Rise of Kong After its release last year, player reviews were abysmal. It’s a disaster, with terrible visuals, terrible gameplay, and ugly cutscenes.
It should be noted that those involved in the game Publisher Game Mill reportedly has little support and had to struggle for months to get The Rise of King Kong Get out on time. End result: a really, really bad game. I hope Legendary can give 7Levels the time and resources they need to do better.
