Publisher Devolver Digital and developer All Maybe Futures have finally pulled out their swords and announced a release date for their promising 2D/3D game The Plucky Squire.
The announcement trailer shows that the game will launch on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, PC, and Switch on September 17, by moving the protagonist Jot some dates in the storybook.
If you subscribe to PS Plus Extra, you’ll get this game for free as part of the service! PlayStation doesn’t typically offer day-one launches on any of its subscription services. For example, it previously launched Stray, a charming game about being a cat in a post-apocalyptic world ruled by robots.
First released in 2022, The Plucky Squire is an action-adventure game where you embark on a storybook journey and then jump into the real world.
“Jump between 2D and 3D worlds in this captivating action-adventure game – solve puzzles, punch badgers, fly in a jetpack and more as you become a living storybook hero. A surprising mini-challenge,” the trailer describes.
I can’t wait to play this. It looks gorgeous.
