Deadpool and Wolverine may be a huge hit for Marvel Studios, but it’s fair to say the MCU needs to wow us a few times before we can claim we’re in the “good zone” again . Now, all eyes are on 2025 movies, including Daredevil: Rebirth, which is coming to Disney+ and seems to be taking longer to make than we thought.
At the last D23 event, Daredevil: Rebirth stars Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil) Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk, aka The Kingpin ) spoke with PEOPLE and revealed some of what went on behind the scenes after the Netflix original series was canceled without any news. But this went on for several years.

“It wasn’t until mid-2020 that we got the call [President of Marvel Studios] Kevin [Feige] Cox explained that they’re interested in bringing these characters back… not even on the show, but just bringing these characters into the Marvel Universe. .
Cox went on to say that after two years of not hearing anything from Marvel Studios, he had given up: “I moved on, and occasionally Vincent and I would talk and he’d say, ‘Oh, they’re going to fight Call me. It’s over. That’s probably a sentiment shared by many on the Netflix/Marvel show over the years, but things just took a little longer to come together for a new Daredevil show. was confirmed to be in pre-production in 2022, which surprised everyone except D’Onofrio, who never lost hope and even appeared in Hawkeye while Cox had a little big-screen appearance in Spider-Man Guest appearance in “No Way Home”.
After more than two years and a major rework of the entire series, Daredevil: Rebirth basically looks like Daredevil Season 4, including the return of Jon Bernthal as Frank ‧Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher. The D23 trailer for Rebirth has been leaked, and if you look carefully you can find it online, and it looks pristine and grounded, drawing inspiration from previous series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far like She-Hulk and Judging by the treatment of Daredevil and Kingpin in Echoes, I’m certainly excited to see what happens next for these two characters in their own, more adult shows.
