1974, character designer Shimizu Yuko Created one of the most iconic and enduring Sanrio Character, Hello Kitty. Hello Kitty, who is being celebrated around the world, will celebrate her 50th anniversary on one of the biggest stages: a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game on August 19.

Los Angeles DodgersX (formerly twitter) account first announced Hello Kitty’s appearance at Dodger Stadium in an April 17 post. The post said August 19 will be Hello Kitty night and will feature “stadium-wide giveaways.”

The Dodgers later revealed more information about Hello Kitty Night through a press statement. Not only will Hello Kitty throw out the first pitch, attendees will also receive a Hello Kitty 50th Anniversary Dodgers plush and paper crown to celebrate the character’s birthday.

Hello Kitty fans will have the opportunity to meet Sanrio Interact with characters before the game, play the Hello Kitty trivia game, use the Friendship Camera, and witness a birthday cake demonstration with an unknown special guest.
Los Angeles Dodgers Hello Kitty Night will be held on Monday, August 19th at 7:00 pm at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers will face the Seattle Mariners in the first game of a three-game series.
