The play is adapted from the author’s novel Thomas PerryAt the center of the story is “Dan Chase, who absconded from the CIA decades ago and has since lived a life of isolation. When an assassin arrives and attempts to take out Chase, the veteran agent learns that in order to To secure his future, he must now come to terms with his past.
As Dan Chase is revealed from hiding, FBI Assistant Director of Counterintelligence Harold Harper is called upon to hunt him down due to his complicated past with the rogue fugitive. When Chase proves harder to apprehend than authorities expected, a highly trained Special Forces contractor is also sent to hunt him down.
“While on the run, Chase rents a room from Zoe Macdonald, who dips into a nest egg she never knew she had in order to survive the day she learns the truth about her new tenants .
In Season 2, “Former CIA agent Dan Chase and former FBI Assistant Director Harold Harper (John Lithgow) set out to rescue Emily Chase (Alia Shawkat) after she was kidnapped.
