We’re just a week away from Sony’s live shooter Concord launching on PC and PlayStation 5, so Sony decided to let us know what’s in store for it.
Despite extremely low player numbers during the closed and open betas, Sony is promising at least three seasons of content after the game launches next week.
Concord will launch at £35, with six modes, 12 maps and 16 characters. Then, Season 1 will begin in October, Season 2 in January 2025, and Season 3 in April.
Each season introduces new Freelancers, maps, modes, variants, vignettes and more.
Season 1 will also introduce a cosmetics store, according to a blog post on PlayStation.com.
“During Season 1, we will also launch an in-game store for those who wish to further personalize their Freegunner with additional customization items and continue to support the game,” said game director Ryan Ellis. “These will complement the hundreds of rewards earned through progression and are cosmetic, optional and have no impact on gameplay.”
Concord is now preloadable. Digital Deluxe Edition owners will be able to play it on Tuesday, August 20th, followed by a global release on Friday, August 23rd.
