As first reported IGN August 12Boss Team Games is developing two indie video games based on the 1978 original halloween Movie. We don’t know much about what these games are or how they’ll play, but both projects are being developed with input from the film series’ producers. One of the games is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 and will include direct input from Carpenter himself.
“As a huge gamer, I’m excited to help bring Michael Myers back to life again in this game,” Carpenter said in a press release. “My hope is to scare the crap out of you,” according to reports , the director will be “closely involved” in the work of the game’s developers.

Meanwhile, in other video game news from John Carpenter, the director is involved in the upcoming Zombies co-op first-person shooter Toxic Commandoslooks cool, but may be cursed endlessly with left 4 Dead. The game was announced last year summer game festival and Still planned to launch later this yearbut I’m not sure about that. Speaking of release dates, none of the recently announced ones have given a release date or window halloween game.
