Ahead of getting your first taste of Black Ops 6 Zombies mode later this week, Treyarch has released a cinematic trailer setting the stage for the return of the popular co-op mode. The trailer is Zombies’ opening cinematic, which introduces the characters we’ll be picking up and establishes the state of the world.
Black Ops 6 Zombies is set in the Dark Aether storyline, which begins five years after the events of Black Ops Cold War, with former Requiem members on the run from Terminal Island where they have been imprisoned for years.

Treyarch said that Black Ops 6 Zombies will ship with two circular maps at launch, and Terminal Island is likely to be one of them, as well as a West Virginia town called Liberty Falls – both of which Everywhere is where the dark ether breaks out.
Edward Richtofen is revealed to be the project director who ordered the arrest of Requiem members, and he becomes a villain once again in this chapter. They will also be joined by newcomer Maya Aguinaldo, a Filipino smuggler who has her own reasons for being on the island.
