As you probably know, massive Fallout 4 mod Fallout: London has managed to recruit some big-name stars to complement its core voice cast.
Memes of “Baldur’s Gate 3” star Neil Newbon and former UK House of Commons Speaker John Bercow – who silenced MPs by shouting “Order!” And it is a household name in the UK. – Arguably the most unexpected inclusion. So, how did their cameo come about?

Fallout: London project manager Dean ‘Prilladog’ Carter revealed this in an interview with VG247, which also discussed the mod’s release and the truncated quest lines that will appear in future updates.
“So the good thing about the delay that we had to do because of the next-gen update is that while we were fixing the system, we were just doing playtesting and it really just stemmed from a silly conversation between me and Callum, who was “Head writer/lead writer,” recalls the modder, “we were just sitting there, and we actually had a voice actor who was playing this character, who was just part of the team, and we were like ‘Oh, no what if’ We had John Bercow, wasn’t that cool? They said, ‘Well, let’s reach out,’ and we did and he was willing to do it.
“He said ‘This is a very strange case,'” Carter added. “He wanted to know if this was a business, and we said, ‘No, we’re just volunteers.'” We had to explain what mods were, what Fallout was, and he said, ‘Yeah, that sounds fun. ’, and then he made some speeches.
Meanwhile, Team FOLON found themselves in the opposite position in terms of contact when facing Newbon. “I’m sure my team is going to shoot me for saying that, but I don’t know who he is,” Carter told me. “I believe he actually reached out to us via Twitter and said ‘I’d love to be involved, blah, blah, blah,’ but we got a flood of these messages and I was just at a loss for words.
“[Then,] One time I happened to be on air and my team was like, ‘Uh, why is Neil Newbon in your inbox? I just thought, “Oh, I got a lot.” They said, “No, no, but it’s Neil Newbon.” I thought, “Well, I guess I’ll reply,” and my team just said to me Screaming, they’re like “please reply to this guy and let him join.”
“We basically gave him a small role, like a very small thing. He asked for more and he loved playing the role of Barry the Boat. The whole Barry Boat mission was basically Neil Newbon’s idea because he Want to do more in this project. So we ended up having to write the entire mission because he wanted to do more,” the modder revealed, adding: “We had a lot of fun working with him.
