Tesla has stopped selling the $60,990 RWD Cybertruck, the cheapest version of its angled electric truck, Jalopnik wrote. At the same time, the company increased the price of the next-generation AWD Cybertruck by $20,000. It’s now priced at $99,990, raising the EV’s base price by $39,000.
The Cyberbeast is a tri-motor version of the truck with more torque and a higher top speed than the standard all-wheel-drive electric vehicle, and it also costs more at $119,990 ($99,990 before August 6). The updated pricing is especially bleak considering Tesla said in 2019 that the Cybertruck would start at $39,990.
On the bright side, the company has improved delivery times. Tesla expects to make the AWD Cybertruck available to customers between August and September 2024, while the Cyberbeast is expected to be available to customers between October and December 2024. As the Internet Archive showed earlier this month, previous orders were expected to be delivered in 2025.
