Black Panther: Waganda Forever spinoff Ironheart has been taking a backseat since Disney announced plans to cut the number of Marvel shows on Disney+. But at D23, Marvel finally debuted some new footage of Dominique Thorne reprising her role as Riri Williams in her own show.
Marvel hasn’t released any Ironheart footage online yet, but we can tell you that Riley is back at MIT and she no longer has the resources she had in Waganda Forever. Community’s Jim Rash reappears as the dean of MIT in Captain America: Civil War, and it looks like Riri might be kicked out of the school.
Most importantly, Rarity wants to rebuild her Ironheart armor. This is where Anthony Ramos’ Parker Robbins comes into play. thing. From an early look at her new armor, it appears her new armor will be more handmade than the suit she crafted in Wakanda. Rarity seemed to realize that what she was doing was wrong, but she did it anyway.
Executive producer Ryan Coogler, Thorne and other actors attended Marvel’s D23 presentation. They confirmed that Hearts of Steel will premiere on Disney+ in 2025.
Meanwhile, the Daredevil: Rebirth trailer has D23 audiences excited, as does the Human Torch’s costume in Fantastic Four: The First Step. Star Wars’ Skeleton Crew trailer and the first shots of The Mandalorian and Grogu both represent Star Wars well. “Toy Story 5” is also about to be released, and “Avatar 3” finally has a name.
