Nothing good can come of Brady ditching his sobriety and sleeping with Xander’s mother. The best thing about this story is that it’s a less obnoxious remake of the JJ/Eve disaster.
Brady already screwed up because he put the drinking aside instead of telling Tate about Teresa’s legal woes. The mistake he made now was far more serious and could have life-changing consequences.
Could Brady injure someone in a drunk driving accident?

Brady and Fiona’s drinking could result in Sarah’s injury or death.
The horrific consequences of Brady’s bad behavior would be a repeat of Eric killing Daniel, but that’s somewhat forgivable because sadly, drunk driving accidents claim thousands of lives every year.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8/12/24 suggest this is what’s most likely to happen:
- Sarah will disappear.
- Fiona will chase Brady away from the crime scene.
- When Brady wakes up the next day, he won’t remember what happened.
These spoilers may add up to a touching mental health storyline, but are more likely to be used for cheap drama.
Sarah has been run over by a drunk driver before
One iconic storyline involved Eve hitting her with a stolen car
The biggest problem with this story is that, assuming it was written close to reality, it would be a repeat of a story Sarah had already told as a child.
Days of Our Lives troublemaker Eve Donovan’s biggest stories involve teenagers stealing cars, driving drunk and knocking down eight-year-old Sarah as she chased a ball down the street.
Revisiting this isn’t necessarily a bad idea, but it would be annoying if Days of Our Lives didn’t bother to reference it.
Being hit by a drunk driver for a second time should have had a significant impact on Sarah’s mental health. Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of August 12 haven’t mentioned anything relevant so far, but the story is just getting started, so let’s hope a historical connection is coming!
Leo draws the wrong conclusion after mistaking Heidi for Marina
He thinks Marina has a split personality
ah. Whenever Heidi showed up, things quickly got out of hand.
Her involvement in Days of Our Lives’ fourth wall-breaking storyline about body and soul is great, but can’t we limit the over-the-top crap to this plot?
Instead, Leo concluded that Marina had a split personality. This means that, after killing off a real person with DID, Days of Our Lives will have an “interesting” story about a famous psychiatrist who secretly suffers from DID.
Between that and the offhand dialogue about not using ableist terms to refer to people with mental health issues, the writers seem to be going out of their way to make fun of mental health conditions. Not cool!
Kate confides in Roman about her dissatisfaction with body and soul
The heroine is not at all happy with how things are going
Kate and Roman’s scenes are always fun. After all these years, the chemistry between the two is still strong.
Still, this “body and soul” storyline has become downright ridiculous.
It was cute at first, but the joke has run its course and the characters involved deserve a fleshed out storyline instead of this nonsense.
At least this (probably) won’t lead to Kate and Roman breaking up for dramatic reasons. Roman doesn’t appear often either, so any spoilers involving him are good news.
However, Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8/12/24 indicate that this storyline isn’t over yet. Let’s hope they don’t drag things out to the point where viewers are willing to tolerate it!
Brady and Fiona’s continued deterioration could have deadly consequences

Damn it, Brady! Why does he always succumb to alcohol, horrible women, or both?
Not long ago he was falsely accused of killing Philip (who wasn’t even dead in the first place!) because he was found passed out by a river with alcohol in his system, and there was evidence that he hurt Philip in a drunken rage.
This kind of storyline could only happen in Salem, and now it’s happening again. If Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8/12/24 are to be believed, he’s guilty this time.
Addiction sometimes leads to relapse. I get it. But that unrealistic thought has gotten worse now that Brady is in jail or could hurt someone.
Chad is desperate to find out who the mysterious woman is
In addition, the DNA results are also out
Chad’s rush to find out the mystery woman’s identity won’t lead to anything good. He might try to seduce her, try to trigger memories.
That would be horrific, like Stefan raping Abigail during her dissociation, so we hope they don’t go there.
Days of Our Lives spoilers 24 will also reveal DNA results the week of August 12th.
On any other show, this would be a big step in the right direction, but Days of Our Lives almost always pulls out TV tropes where someone messes up the results, so this time probably won’t be any different.
Tate and Holly make the most of limited time together
The two must avoid Brady and Sofia
Since Brady thought he had returned to camp, Tate had begun sneaking around in the cabin again.
Of course, it wouldn’t be hard to avoid Brady, considering he was drunk most of the time.
Sophia’s problem is more serious. She’s driven by revenge and bothers Holly as to why Holly and Tate haven’t had sex yet, but so far it hasn’t worked.
She knows where Holly and Tate are, so what are the chances that she’s leaking something to the wrong person?
Brady may face more consequences for his drunken behavior when Kristen takes Rachel to Marlena’s house
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of December 8, 2020 reveal Brady is running away from his parental duties
The spoilers don’t make it clear what exactly happens, but it’s not hard to figure out.
Brady, fresh off Tate’s neglect, may further cement himself as Salem’s worst dad because he’s too busy with drunken drama to pick up Rachel at the designated time.
This is the most logical explanation for Christine’s presence at Marlena’s house with Rachel.
Christine isn’t our kind of villain, and while we wouldn’t hang out with her, at least she’s responsible enough to make sure someone is watching over her if Rachel has to leave.
Jennifer returns to Salem to find answers if her daughter is still alive
Cady McClain might play her this time
It’s time for Jennifer to come to Salem! Jack leaving her behind in Boston when he randomly shows up in the fictional suburbs of Chicago makes no sense, especially after he learns that Abigail might still be alive.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 8/12/24 don’t reveal which actress will play Jennifer.
While Melissa Reeves will return in November, it’s likely to be Cady McClain this time, as the announcement about Reeves specifically stated that she would be returning in the fall.
As Kristen faces Gabby’s wrath, Melinda admits to Ava
She’ll tell her Connie is a liar
Fraud is the least serious problem Connie faces. She goes around killing people so they won’t find out she killed Lee out of jealousy.
If that wasn’t bad enough, now she’s living in his house thinking that a cardboard cutout of him is her boyfriend.
Despite her character’s goofiness, she’s the kind of villain who gives us nightmares.
Melinda telling Ava that Connie isn’t who she claims to be is a step toward ending Connie’s reign of terror, so let’s go!
