Due to a busy production schedule, filming on Fantastic Four: First Step didn’t begin until July 29 (the day after Comic-Con). While there wasn’t enough time to make a trailer, Marvel didn’t come up empty-handed. At the press conference for the Fantastic Four reboot, Marvel shared a first look at Joseph Quinn’s Human Torch costume from the movie.
As you can see from the picture, this is not an exact recreation of Johnny Storm’s costume from the comics. It looks more like a hazard suit than traditional clothing. But it does have bright blue areas and a retro 4 logo, echoing some of the old Human Torch costumes.
The photo comes from a short clip of Quinn and his FF co-stars Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby and Ebon Moss-Bachrach on the set of the film. They can’t get away from filming, but they’re eager to show off the reboot.
The cast of Fantastic Four: The First Step is currently busy filming, so they created a video to demonstrate. They said they can’t wait to share the film with audiences. #D23 pic.twitter.com/W5uWipMyO8

“Fantastic Four: The First Step” will be released on July 25, 2025, right around next year’s Comic-Con. But that’s not all we see at D23. Avatar 3 was given a title, Toy Story 5 was announced, the first trailer for Star Wars: Skull Crew debuted, followed by early footage from The Mandalorian and Grogu.
