Is Wicked Season 4 Episode 12 Sister Andrea’s swan song?
Earlier this season, she addressed a man who broke her heart when she chose a sisterhood, and “Fear of Others” delves deeper into this meaningful event in her life.
With only two episodes left, we need to focus on the main characters and their futures, which is a pretty hefty burden.
Two weeks on the show, two weeks in real life
There are still two weeks until the assessment team goes deep into the devil, and there are two episodes left.
Is it an oversight if we assume that each episode will cover the week leading up to that unfortunate event?
I’m also willing to bet that we’ll see the end of Ben’s convoluted story in Evil Season 4 Episode 13, so that the finale defeats Leland and unites Christine and David. Could the series have ended any other way?
Traditional case of the week on Wicked Season 4 Episode 12
It’s great to get a legacy case of the week so late in the game, and having it tied to one of the series regulars works really well.
It would be a tragedy if we learned something about Sister Andrea before she chose the Sisterhood but didn’t get any details.
Andrea was the love of Paul’s life, and even years later she remains universally responsible for his death.
The first part of this story appears in Wicked Season 4 Episode 4, “The Devil of Sorrow.”
Meeting little Paul and seeing Paul’s (compromised) physical body makes it clear that an experience like Sister Andrea’s can be an almost inescapable burden.
The story is quite scary and manages to show us the different lives the trio might have had if they had chosen different paths.
“Fear of others”
If there was such a program, I couldn’t be the only one looking for my doppelgänger on the internet right now, right? Wait a minute…let me double check No exist.
OK wait. There is a website to find your doppelgänger called “Twin Strangers”. Guys, I found mine. She looks older than me, but that’s weird. In fact, it’s so weird that I’m not sure it’s true. Wow.
Well, no wonder Christine, Ben, and David were hesitant to find someone else. It’s an experience.
Funny thing is, Kristen tried David first; I tried my best not to try and upload someone I knew instead of me. As far as Kristen is concerned, it gives her someone she can fantasize about without feeling guilty.
David has the demon Christine, and now Christine has a doppelgänger, David.
Ben’s double allowed him to break through
Christine is amused by her dual experience. However, Ben has been going through something recently. He’s struggling with vision and impending unemployment, one more concerning than the other.
Ben is willing to use scientific methods to eliminate his hallucinations, but he is unwilling to leave his position as an evaluator.
Potential employers will be actively trying to keep him around – why would you hesitate when you hear the starting salary is over $900,000?
The look on Ben’s face was anything but ecstatic, and part of it was his friendship with David and Christine and everything he’d learned while doing this crazy job.
Ben saw a version of himself as a husband and father that had never been important to him. Now maybe not, but Aasif Mandvi’s facial expression suggests that Ben may be thinking about a lot of things that he’s never thought of before.
He’s not afraid of success, but Ben is worried that the life he chooses won’t make him happiest.
Has Andy betrayed Christine again, or have Leland and his associates tracked him down?
Has Andy been recast to feature Kristen and David for an evil ending?
Andy is not Husband of the Year material, but no matter what, once he gets off Mount Everest, he can only become a family man.
But now, he’s acting in ways that challenge everything we know about him. Everything from the incident to how he handled the reconciliation made no sense.
That’s not what Christine is aiming for. real In and of itself, right?
Andy had no one with him on Everest because he was with Leland. Are the things Kristen revealed about Andy true?
Is everyone being manipulated?
We’re talking here about demons that can take on human form. Andy is Andy? Is he having an affair? Was he taken away or killed?
I’m not sure if watching another two episodes would make sense, but nothing here feels right.
It would be easy for me to believe that Andy would connect with a stranger who also suffers from mental health issues. He would not arrange an affair to visit his home and daughters, nor would he take away the money they needed to survive.
The devil must be at work. But if so, would that justify Kristen and David ending up together, or would it feel like cheating?
No one can deny the power between them, but if everyone is manipulated into achieving it, then it’s a tragic fate, not a victory.
If this week’s case tells us anything, it’s how easy it is to exploit a situation to achieve your own ends.
leland court day
There’s a past to understand, a case to solve, and another life to consider, but there’s also Leland’s day in court.
Despite a surprising turn of events, with Dr. Boggs recommending the harshest possible punishment for Leland’s bad behavior, the devil ultimately prevails and Leland is cleared of all charges.
To get there, the demons must use every piece of evidence at their disposal. They got everyone except Boggs and Christine. Judge? He killed Leslie in his room. Whatever they thought of him, it made the murder charge seem worth it.
It looked like the story was over, but did you expect Leland would go down so easily?
We had a chance to speak with Michael Emerson (the interview will be posted tomorrow), but he shared a glimpse into Leland’s future:
Sometimes your failure is a bit of a surprise, something you weren’t expecting or looking for. It may not be the end for you, but you may be benched or held back.
— Michael Emerson on Leland Townsend’s impending fate
Maybe the powers our characters gained through the various encounters in Wicked Season 4 Episode 12 will be what it takes to send Leland and his machinations to hell, or worse, strip him of his powers and Influential friends.
Hints of what’s to come
Everyone has some hint.
Kristen decided to start her own practice again with the help of Dr. Boggs.
I think they’ll be in close contact again.
Ben is weighing his options, but faced with a plethora of career opportunities, he may unexpectedly turn to something more meaningful.
How David and Sister Andrea currently serve God is at the mercy of the church, but I can’t help but wonder if the church’s greed could also keep them on the right path.
Just because the team is disbanded doesn’t mean the party has to end. Among them, they yes Evaluation plan.
The decisions they make along the way will be very different from the way the Church directs their actions.
The path forward is not always a straight line.
Same team, different direction?
With so many cases still unsolved, is it crazy to imagine that they would ignore being told where to go to unite again? They can be called “entities”.
What do you think will happen in the last two episodes? Will we get the answers we want or only the answers we need?
Is there a Hail Mary Pass on the horizon that could get this team into action again? Netflix, have you answered your prayers today?
If you visit Twin Strangers, please let me know. What a trip!
