The world is about to receive another Howling Wave update, and luckily, we don’t have to wait too long. Howling Waves version 1.2 will launch globally on August 15th and will bring new characters, events, and even a dancing turtle.
The announcement comes in the form of a gorgeous new gameplay trailer, which wraps all the new content into a beautiful visual package. Obviously, the stars of this update are the two new playable characters. They are Origami and Sori-Yo, both of whom will be available in the game through this update.

As you’d expect, the characters come equipped with weapons, including Frost Sprout Rectifiers and Verity Grip Gauntlets. Both are five-star weapons, and with the exception of the new five-star characters, you have to be very lucky to get these weapons. Either that, or get ready to whip out your wallet.
The update also brings some new story content, as well as a limited-time event called “Moon’s Grace” where you can help build the ongoing festival. There are also 7 days of login events, as well as some combat activities for you to complete for extra rewards.
All in all, the new update for Gacha is exciting, and Gacha has been growing healthily since its release earlier this year. Whether the game can maintain its momentum, especially after it initially encountered some more difficult technical challenges, is something we’ll be keen to keep an eye on.
