Hello dear readers, and welcome to the August 8, 2024 SwitchArcade roundup. It’s a surprisingly big day for a good indie developer, and I could spend over fifty bucks without breaking a sweat. After that, here’s the usual list of new and expiring sales, but with a special disclaimer, you only have a few days to buy Lady Bug Before it’s gone forever. Let’s get to work!

Cat Hunt III ($19.99)
Look, if you were to come back and cover a concept for a third time, you could do worse than veer into a swashbuckling pirate theme. The cute and fun action RPG series returns with an adventure set in Pribion. Sail the high seas, complete missions, and shake any wood that needs shaking. We’ll have a review soon, but suffice it to say that developer The Gentlebros has done it again.
SteamWorld Heist II ($29.99)
Phew, what a day. we have a great sequel cat hunting tripnow this is the latest steam world game. This is the follow-up steam world robbery, a game that I like very much. Surprisingly, the game also has a nautical theme. I mean hey, the more the merrier. Gameplay looks to be a pretty good continuation of the first game, but that’s normal steam world During the game, the stakes have been appropriately raised. I will also be doing a review of this game soon.
That Time I Was Reincarnated as a Slime “Chronicles of Another World” ($49.99)
The popular manga/anime comes to Switch as an action RPG, adapting several arcs and adding some extra content. Play as multiple characters, build your city while making new allies, and complete dozens of sub-quests. It seems like an interesting story for fans of the story, but we’ll have to see if it has the ability to appeal to people beyond that circle.
Arcade Archives Tecmo Stacker ($7.99)
Hey Tecmo Games! It’s been a while since we’ve seen one of these added to Arcade Archives. This is… Tecmo forklift. Okay, it doesn’t matter. This game is very similar to Puyo Puyo, but it adds a few extra gimmicks to differentiate itself. If you like falling block puzzle games, this isn’t too bad even if it’s not particularly inspired. The characters are very much of their time, that’s for sure.
EGGCONSOLE Wing PC-8801mkIISR ($6.49)
the rule of Egg control Games are delivered in language, so some are easier to understand than others. wings of argument Not just an RPG, but an RPG that requires you to use a 100-page instruction manual (in Japanese, naturally) to solve its many puzzles. If you can’t read Japanese, please don’t bother. The book doesn’t even have chapter selections, so you can’t skip through the story.
Omo Capone ($14.99)
This is a lovely idea. you play Gacha Toys hang out in the mall. As you play, you’ll unlock more toys to control. There are six unique ones in total, each with many variations, and they control differently from each other. There are some hidden secrets to be discovered, so explore them thoroughly. I like the concept, but I have to play with it first to see how it performs.
Gray Dawn ($19.99)
Around 1920, in a remote village in England, a priest was accused of murdering an altar boy. He claims to be innocent; we all know how things will play out. Still, you have to explore the village and try to prove that you didn’t. All the while, something very strange is going down. Something diabolical. It’s not mine, but it could be yours! The magic of choice.
Shikon-X Astro Defense Fortress ($9.99)
The game bills itself as a point-and-click adventure game that requires no pointing or clicking, and it completes tasks by simplifying input into interacting and accessing your inventory. There are also many mini-games to play while you are playing the game. You play as a space pilot who one day receives a mysterious message from humanity’s enemies. That is how the matter? You mean to find out, that’s how it goes. To me, this looks promising, but I’m nothing more than words in cyberspace.
Vivelop ($9.99)
At its heart, this is a very classic arcade concept. You simply draw a certain number of tiles in each stage to advance to the next stage. What makes it completely different is its use of weird stages that loop on themselves, and your complete disregard for the laws of gravity. A few modes, a few playable characters, and unlockable hats. What else do you need?
Delirium($12.99)
This looks to be an escape-style adventure, albeit with a very different theme than usual. Laura and Danny need to escape “Delirium,” which is apparently the name of their house. At least the art is popular. What’s the point of naming a house? It feels like a rich people thing, but can’t we do it? Can I name my house Bob? I’m going. If I could buy a house. I wouldn’t, because freelance writers pay. ha!
Love is everywhere ($12.99)
Basically a visual novel experience but finished with FMV. You have a variety of ladies to woo, as well as a few extra questions to add some drama. I don’t think it’s anything special other than the gimmick of using real actors, but that might be enough for some.
Sushi Drops ($7.00)
At first, I thought it would be another water painting game disuse. But no, you’re here tossing down sushi with the goal of building the tallest tower possible. This means you have to be careful about where you place things so the whole piece doesn’t fall apart. You can also play with other players. Up to four locally or online. As with many other SAT-BOX games, it’s fun to get out and have a game party or two.
Crying Maze ($3.99)
A visual novel based on choice and not about kissing? This is rare on Switch. Anyway, it’s a science fiction story where the protagonist is drawn to an underground research facility where he meets a friend he thought was dead. This product has a truly classic Chunsoft vibe at a price you can’t argue with.
Let the devil go! ($2.99)
This is an autorunner. Run, jump, catch the fool, die, run again. Clean visual style and cheap price. Maybe cheaper due to inflation.
sales volume
(North American e-store, US prices)
Well, this is not a drill. You will see this promotion Lady Bug, Cave A great conversion of a great shooter? Noticed that it has an earlier end date than its publisher’s other games? This date is not just the end date of the discount. The game will be removed from the eShop in a few days Due to license expiration. If you think you’ll need it, buy it now. Ten bucks is a pittance for such an excellent piece of work. Today’s list isn’t very big, so include them all. Lady Bug. The other two Cave games probably won’t be around for long either, so make some tentative plans to grab them.
