Stop me if you’ve heard something like this before. “Helldivers 2” developer Arrowhead released a number of weapon balance adjustments alongside the “Free Upgrade” update, at least one of which is a nerf, and some players are not happy with it.
Yes, forgetting about the new content and other tweaks included in the update, we – for better or worse – are back to discussing whether the studio should have brought us a galactic struggle for Super Earth with less so-called meta weapons, or done more to listen Opinions from players who don’t want to see their favorite weapons can make them less fun to use.

The change that’s getting most of the attention involves fire-based weapons, which is rather ironic considering the fire-themed War Bonds is coming tomorrow (August 8). Well, “tweaked the fire effects to make them more realistic” and changed the Incendiary Breaker shotgun to reduce the number of magazines it can hold while increasing its recoil.
As conveyed by the roughly 20 million posts currently on the front page of the game’s Reddit subreddit, these adjustments haven’t been well received, with some players feeling betrayed by Arrowhead for having opinions that contradict what was previously stated. We listened to player feedback when these changes were made, so they left a lot of new negative Steam reviews.
It looks like the latter number was just over 1,000 in the past day, although overall reviews for the game are still “mostly positive.” One of them wrote: “The developers seem to think nerfing everything is the way to go, even though it’s a PvE co-op game rather than a competitive multiplayer PvP shooter, if players are having fun then let them play it .

Arrowhead responded to the controversy, with CEO Shams Jorjani writing on Twitter: “We have a large number of players coming back to the game and giving it a try. We are tracking bugs/issues and planning ahead with a patch. I received a different update regarding Lots of feedback on the part Different player groups like/dislike different things – it depends on the playstyle.
“At some point, Burn Breaker accounted for about 30% of all Terminid sessions,” he added in a Discord comment about this particular change. “It was very much a meta gun. Is that a problem? ? Yeah. Is it big? We’ll talk about it.
In another tweet after he completed the Discord opinion gathering, he thanked players for their feedback and said: “We will be listening more and there will be more improvements/tweaks to come.”
