Can’t resist Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth, the excellent card game Queen’s Blood? Bad news, as it will return “better” in the next entry.
Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth has a lot of mini-games, both good and bad, but the one that stands out is undoubtedly Queen’s Blood. It’s fast-paced, mechanically tight, and has a jam track that changes based on your performance, and there’s just a lot to like. Best of all, the game has players everywhere, so you’ll never be short of the next match. In fact, Queen’s Blood has been so popular that some fans have asked for an actual card game to be made, and during a recent appearance at Otacon Comic Con USA, director Naoki Hamaguchi revealed that he’s even been asked to make it. Reality.

“I actually get a lot of requests,” Hamaguchi shared. “Now we’re preparing an improved and even better version of Queen’s Blood for the next game in the series. So I hope to be able to share more in the near future.” This is obviously a hit for fans of mini-games. Welcome news, although it may also pose a threat to those struggling to get away from the game. Unsurprisingly, Queen’s Blood came up a lot when the panelists were asked what their favorite mini-game was, so you can start to see why it’s making a comeback.

Since Final Fantasy 7 Reborn only released in February of this year, we probably still won’t be able to make any announcements about the third and final entry in the trilogy (even though it might be coming sooner than you think). Personally, I’ve finally been waiting for more news about Kingdom Hearts 4, and with Disney’s biggest fan event of the year, D23, I’m hoping we’ll get some news soon.
