George R.R. Martin said the same thing in 2022: Dragon House It’s a four-season show. Of course, he said it would take “four full seasons of 10 episodes each to do A Dance with Dragons justice,” and the just-concluded second season only aired eight episodes. But series producer Ryan Condal confirmed that “Part 4” is indeed still a plan.
According to Variety , during a press conference held earlier today, marking the Dragon HouseCondal said the show will end after its fourth season. (HBO has renewed the show for a third season; Season 4 has not yet officially aired.) The show’s producers also cited “early 2025” as a time frame for a production start date; Season 3 is still being written. “What episode is it?” was the obvious next question; Condal’s response: “I haven’t discussed that with HBO yet, I just anticipate that, from a dramatic storytelling perspective, the show’s pacing will change from episode two. The start of the season will remain unchanged.”
although Dragon House Made some changes to its source material – Martin’s fire and blood Targaryen History – No Such Problems game of Thrones The show’s storyline goes beyond Martin’s own narrative. With a clear ending – which Condal had thought of – it felt like Dragon House Be prepared to find a more satisfying conclusion than your predecessor.
Still, that means seasons three and four better be filled with action to deal with all the messy Targaryen affairs to come. If production starts “early 2025”, it’s likely Dragon House It won’t return to HBO and Max until 2026 at the earliest.
