Willy’s Candy Feast: A Musical Parody is a parody stage reading of the 1971 classic film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factorythe project has cast two actors from the original film.
Julie Dawn Cole (Veruca Salter), narrates being “lured out of retirement” from August 9th to 18th, and Paris Timon (Mike Teevee) will step in from August 19th to 26th.

The ensemble cast includes Shelley Regner (pitch perfect series), Eric Peterson (School of Rock the Musical, Shrek: The Musical), Nicole Greenwood (clear at a glance), Wilkie Ferguson (Broadway Motor City: The Musical), Cassandra Parker (singing and dancing), Monica Evans (singer/songwriter), and chris villain (freak show).
This project comes from Richard Craft Kraft Engel Production Company and Director Andy Fickman (Heathers: The Musical). Surprise guests were also laughed at.
The musical’s book will be written by Kraft and Fickman, who share a love of musicals and obscure showbiz references, as well as Gene Wilder .
“If you announce it, they will come,” Kraft said in a statement. “I didn’t come up with the idea for a stage musical until March. I sent out a press release before the show.
“Then a great team of top songwriters created a sixteen-song soundtrack for us. Next, perfect director Andy Fickman signed on.
“Now our dream cast has been assembled to premiere this crazy idea at the Edinburgh Fringe. Even in my purest imagination, I could not have seen it all coming together so beautifully, so quickly. This is simply delicious.
Andy Fickman added: “I felt like Willy Wonka himself standing at the factory gate as all the wonderful actors arrived with their golden tickets, ready to perform. Join this glorious cast in this dreamy musical It’s been a pleasure to work on, but more importantly, the blend of Original Veruca Salt and Mike Teevee – my head is filled with sweet treats!
The music for Willy’s Candy Crush: The Musical Parody will be composed by Riki Lindhome, Daniel Mertzlufft, Doug Rockwell and Tova Litvin, Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner, Megan Cavallari, Kate Miccuci, Jennifer Lucy Cook and Richard Kraft!
