Universal Pictures has announced a new original haunted house, Universal Monsters: Eternal Blood, featuring an all-female cast of classic Universal monsters for Halloween Horror Nights.
These monsters include Frankenstein’s Bride, Dracula’s Daughter, the Cockney She-Wolf and the immortal, mummified Egyptian princess Anxunamon.
I’ve always loved these generic monster mazes from Halloween Horror Nights. They’re usually the coolest people! So, I’m looking forward to this!
“Cosmic Monsters: Eternal Bloodline” will introduce guests to an all-new horror storyline as they find themselves at the center of the ultimate battle between two unexpected alliances of classic female cosmic monsters.
“Fans will meet Saskia Van Helsing, a fearless new huntress and daughter of the revered Abraham Van Helsing – who drove a stake through the heart of Count Dracula, Destroying his reign of terror, killing him. Saskia now faces Countess Maria, Dracula’s daughter, who has risen from the dead to avenge her father and destroy Van Helsing’s lineage.
“Inspired by the 1946 film She-Wolf of London, Dracula’s daughter (from 1936’s Dracula’s Daughter), armed with a mission to kill, forms a deadly alliance with a she-wolf who from the 1932 film The Mummy – only to be intercepted by Saskia and an unlikely ally, The Bride of Frankenstein.
“This terrifying adventure takes guests on a journey between the hunted and the hunter, in a life-or-death battle where only the bloodline survives.”
The press release continues: “As the movie studio that invented the horror movie genre, the haunted house at Universal Studios Hollywood will have even greater relevance as it will be located in the legendary Sound Stage 12 on the studio’s back lot, where It is an original filming location for horror movies such as the 1980s and 1980s and is revered in both classic and contemporary films.
The musical SLASH will also return to create music for the Halloween experience. “SLASH will once again create an original score for this new haunted house, which will be included with his past originals on a limited-edition vinyl album that will be available at Universal Studios Hollywood throughout the festival event. “
At Universal Orlando Resort, Emmy-nominated composer Sara Barone will create an original score for the new haunted house to enhance the guest experience.
She recently served as composer for the BBC’s Planet Earth III, alongside Hans Zimmer and Jacob Shea, as well as Amazon’s Silver and the Book of Dreams. Barone currently participates in the Universal Composers Initiative.
Halloween Horror Nights launches Friday, August 30th at Universal Orlando Resort and Thursday, September 5th at Universal Studios Hollywood.
