The zombie apocalypse in 7 Days To Die can be a tough environment, so you need to start crafting the best items right away to survive. One of the most important parts in the manufacturing process is the mechanical part. Here, we’ll guide you through all the ways to get your hands on these valuable parts.
What are mechanical parts?

Mechanical parts are used to craft high-end items for survival, such as vehicles, guns, and tools. This is a resource you can never have too much of, so you’ll probably want to stock up on mechanical parts as soon as you start finding them.
How to find mechanical parts
These parts can be found randomly while looting various items such as cars, appliances, and dumpsters. You can even find these early in the game.
You need a lot of mechanical parts to craft, though, so you want to make them more loot-rich. To do this, you ultimately need to obtain wrenchis a tool used to disassemble items in the game.
If you’re lucky, you can find the wrench in a random appliance, air supply drop, or in a rigid tool storage box at a hardware store. These can also be crafted once you’ve crafted your workbench and read a copy of the Scrapping 4 Fun magazine. You’ll need wrought iron, machine parts, and duct tape to make the wrench.

Once you have a wrench, you can use it to disassemble items in the game to obtain crafting materials. Cars are one of the best sources of mechanical parts, but you can get them by disassembling many items in the game. This includes household appliances, air conditioners, vending machines, street lights, and even shopping carts.
You can invest points in the Salvage Ops skill, which will help you salvage faster and get more materials for your efforts, but I wouldn’t recommend investing points in this skill early in the game. Your survival requires more critical skills, so if you’ve mastered your essentials and your attention now turns to additional crafting, I’d only add a point or two.
This guide should help you find enough mechanical parts to meet all your process needs. If you’re looking for a set of wheels to make traveling easier on your adventures, here’s how you can get the wheels and parts used to build your vehicle.
