The Xbox 360 wasn’t the first console to offer players digital gaming, but it was the first to truly embrace the concept and support it over the long term. Xbox Live Arcade on Xbox 360 is a great example. Microsoft has curated a selection of games that can be sold digitally at relatively cheap prices. These games, e.g. castle breakerFortress, Trial HD, and shadow complex, provides a great experience and doesn’t take up much hard drive space. All Xbox Live Arcade games must also offer a free trial or trial version.
Even better, Microsoft has been hosting one every year for a few years now “Arcade Summer” Promotion Some of the featured games will be in the spotlight. These summer arcade events produce a ton of great games and get my friends and I excited to check out smaller games that we might otherwise skip. Of all the things we have lost in this era, this level of curation may be the greatest and most frustrating loss.
