    9-1-1 Let’s Buzz – How did Bee become a three-episode sting operation?

9-1-1 is coming, and if you need clarification on what that means, I implore you to hop on over to Freevee and check out the OG Sharknado so you can get an idea of what you might be getting into.

The Syfy cult classic is a mix of about four genres, telling the stories of people across tornado-hit, shark-infested Los Angeles. In other words, it’s ridiculous and pointless and shouldn’t be this funny, but it spawned a series of spin-offs.

If we take it literally, a bee tornado sounds like a tornado filled with bees, which is a bit different than the emergency that begins with the well-known 9-1-1.

Earthquakes, tsunamis and cruise ship disasters are commonplace. Massive disasters and massive set pieces make sense. But what about bees? bee?

How about Bee Tornado giving us three hours of entertainment?

Don’t take anything away from winged insects, they are both ecologically important and dangerous (everyone knows someone with allergies).

But if bees are the object of cooking, it’s time to speculate on how they turned them into a three-part starter that rivals their best dishes.

There are bees on the plane!

    (Disney)

A bee incident could very well result in a major emergency that takes over everything.

Sharknado’s premise of getting those sharks taking to the skies is complex, but here it could be as simple as a weird storm interacting with a truckload of bees, and suddenly downtown Los Angeles will look like The Day After Tomorrow scene in.

However, the thing about 9-1-1 is, they did everything but bees infiltrated the sky and caused an incoming plane to crash at LAX? That must be something.

The plane crash is serious enough to last for hours, especially considering that a three-episode premiere is more like two episodes and a scene, since major emergencies don’t usually arise until the end of the premiere.

So don’t be surprised if you don’t see a bee before the last frame of opening time.

But what if we get more than just a plane crash, but something that looks more like Samuel L. Jackson’s masterpiece Snakes on a Plane?

    In The Zone - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 4In The Zone - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 4
    (Disney/Chris Willard)

Like Xanadu, if you haven’t seen this movie, read the title. You know, this involves Samuel L. Jackson’s FBI agent character escorting a witness on a plane.

The bad guys want to kill the witness and then put a bunch of snakes in the plane’s cargo.

Chaos ensues. Snakes go crazy. Keenan Thompson is right there.

What if bees invade the plane, the windows are smashed, and the pilot makes an emergency landing? 118 was called in to assist as there was mass hysteria over injuries and bees, maybe Kenan Thompson was there too.

There are a lot of possibilities here, 9-1-1 loves paying homage to classic movies, right?

Maybe “Snakes on a Plane” is not a classic in your family, but it is a classic in mine. Sometimes, it’s okay to do things for yourself.

Bee-nado causes a series of emergencies that shut down the city

If we don’t get a 9-1-1 version of Snakes on a Plane (boo), then we could be looking at a series of emergencies, some more serious than others, that will lead to Los Angeles being put on lockdown and emergency services everywhere Personnel will wear bee suits for the city.

A swarm of bees in the wrong place can wreak havoc, and a tornado can wreak absolute havoc.

If they sweep through a park, stings can cause all kinds of injuries; if they flow across highways, disrupting people’s views, accidents can happen everywhere.

Who can say what effect a swarm of bees would have on the electrical grid or anything else they might come into contact with?

On top of that, a series of emergencies can keep dispatchers, officers and firefighters very busy, even if they’re only figuratively hopping from place to place to put out fires.

Not as exciting as the possibility of bees on planes, but not much.

Bee puts the protagonist in danger

Throughout the show’s history, every protagonist in “9-1-1” has experienced at least one fatal danger. That’s the case with this show.

Most recently, Bobby was briefly near death on “9-1-1” Season 7 Episode 10, so he was unable to conduct continuous bedside vigils.

    Leave some for others.

But semi-seriously, the series also threatens to break our hearts again by having one of our favorite first responders get stung by countless bees, leaving them in limbo.

Dealing with the usual disasters that come up every hour, plus getting sick yourself, could quickly fill up three episodes.

The first official trailer mentioned that there’s a reason the average person can’t survive 500 bee stings. Correct?

    Bee stings can cause hallucinations

According to one owner who had close encounters with a bee family, what if the owner got stung and started hallucinating?

Think of a cross between Buck’s coma dream and Chimney’s journey with encephalitis, but this time we make it fun.

Perhaps the hen was stung and she dreamed of a different time and place while recovering in the hospital.

Everyone loves spending an hour or two in reality, when things are a little more relaxed and you can play with things you might never touch at other times.

During 9/1/1, Eddie and Kim had a date by the lake.During 9/1/1, Eddie and Kim had a date by the lake.
    (Disney/Chris Willard)

In an alternate universe, Hen is searching for clues to help stop the spread of bees that are in danger of getting out of control in the real Los Angeles.

Eddie is the beekeeper at 1-1-8 Hives, owned by Bobby and Athena. Mara returned home, and the hen took Mara and Danny to visit the hive and learn about bees. Chimney and Buck also participated in this event for no reason.

The hen finally figures out how to save the bees and stop the bees’ behavior, and upon waking up, when episode four begins, we pretend the bees’ behavior never happened.

    Cross-border possibilities worthy of attention

Somehow the idea of a “9-1-1” crossover with another ABC show might be less likely than my dream “Snakes on a Plane” parallel.

    Conversation with the Captain - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 5Conversation with the Captain - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 5
    (Disney/McTyne)

But imagine if ABC’s other show, The Rookie, since it takes place in Los Angeles, would help in any way because it’s the bee-nado everyone is gearing up for!

We could have Lucy and Buck team up to help sort the stings, while Addie works with Tim and Bailey helps the hens and chimneys.

This would be a great way to mix the two shows, crack some in-house programming, and give back to both passionate fan bases.

Hell, maybe when the dust settles, 118 will get a call from a curious class at Abbott Elementary School wanting to know more about this phenomenon!

Does this make a lot of sense? Who cares! The bee-like scene isn’t exactly realism, but here we are.

    Buck is all smiles - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2Buck is all smiles - 9-1-1 Season 7 Episode 2
    (Disney/Chris Willard)

It’s all in good fun. While 9-1-1 may be a bit heavy-handed, at its core it’s a really fun show, and something as fantastical as Bee doesn’t always need to be taken seriously.

I’m well aware that the likelihood of these things happening isn’t very high, but maybe you have some interesting ideas about how this disaster will play out in the first three hours of 9-1-1 Season 8!

Leave all your thoughts in the comments below!

“9-1-1” Season 8 will premiere on September 26 at 8/7c on ABC.
