For the next two weeks, you can buy one of the greatest sagas in video games at a massive 70% discount. GOG offers a DRM-free bundle containing the first seven games in the Yakuza series for only $33.59. you must until September 10, 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET Buy before the bundle price returns to $112. GOG has had this bundle since last summer, but it launched on other digital stores earlier this month. The bundle is priced at $112 on Steam and $110 on the PlayStation and Xbox stores.
The series is called the “Yakuza Complete Series,” but keep in mind that while it contains all of the mainline beat ’em ups starring the series’ original protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu, the beloved character has appeared in two more since. In the game “Like a Dragon”.
Kiryu is one of two playable characters in the latest mainline entry in the series, Yakuza: Infinite Fortune, released earlier this year. Kiryu also stars in the spin-off Yakuza Gaiden: The Man Who Erased the Name, which launched late last year and takes place after Yakuza 6, during the events of Yakuza (2020) – written by Kasuga The first mainline work in the series starring Ichiban Ichiban. With an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you can play the entire Like a Dragon/Yakuza series on Xbox and PC.
As for what you get: This collection includes all the mainline games in the Kiryu storyline, starting with Yakuza 0 and ending with Yakuza 6: Song of Life. If you’ve never played these games, Yakuza games are essentially sandbox beat ’em up action combined with dramatic storytelling. Sure, they’re tacky, but they’re OK It’s a bit cheesy, as Kazuma often finds himself embroiled in various forms of government conspiracies, underground gang wars, and in at least one instance running Japan’s finest hostess club.

Narratively speaking, these games also have an episodic structure and are divided into chapters, making for an easily digestible experience that can be enjoyed over the course of a few weeks if you take the time. In terms of gameplay, Kazuma flexes his muscles as the legendary Dragon of Dojima and can crush skulls like a pro. Each game adds a new element to his fighting art, and once you master the techniques, you’ll be able to pull off moves that wouldn’t look out of place in a WWE ring.
It’s worth noting that two games in the series are remasters of Kiwami. These are Yakuza 1 and Yakuza 2, which were remade in 2016 and 2017 respectively, and included more modern gameplay, enhanced features, and new story elements to bring them more in line with Yakuza 0. “Yakuza 3-5” is a high-definition remake, and “Yakuza” is a high-definition remake.
Overall, this series is an essential purchase for anyone who enjoys long-term storytelling and solid action.
