Last year, it also released a patch with several optional improvements to its inventory system, addressing one of the most common complaints from fans.
Claims to be “a dream about a dream” send a signal is a cosmic space horror story. As a robot worker in a dystopian society, you survive a shipwreck on a distant, icy planet, but your co-pilot is missing. Your search for her leads you into a nearby mining colony, where the humans have fallen victim to an unexplained disease and the other robots have descended into madness.
It’s also possible that this was just a dream and not necessarily yours; that you’re lost in a Lovecraftian nightmare realm; and/or that you’re trapped in an endless cycle of violence caused by a mad god. All of these may be true simultaneously. send a signal is a dream. The old rules no longer apply.
It is sometimes depressing, sometimes terrifying, sometimes surreal, and has a unique visual style. If you haven’t played it yet, or you rejected it at launch due to its inventory mechanics, now is a good time to check it out.
