Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning – Part 1 — shot in Norway, England and Italy — won the award for Best Location in a Contemporary Feature Film. OppenheimerThe film, which was filmed throughout New Mexico, followed up its dominance at the Oscars with a win for Outstanding Location in a Historical Feature Film.

Fa GeThe fifth season was filmed in Alberta, Canada, and won the Best Location Award for a Contemporary TV Series. Ripleyfilmed across Italy, won Best Location for a TV Series, Anthology, Movie of the Week or Limited Series. All three series received multiple Emmy nominations this year.
Toyota: “Gifts from the Past” (filmed in Washington state) won Best Commercial, while the Icelandic film won Best Commercial True Detective: Land of Darkness Won the Council Award for Best Film.
The Motion Picture and Television Foundation (MPTF) has been honored with the LMGI Humanitarian Award, recognizing the 100-year-old organization for its leading commitment to health and social services in the entertainment community.
Venue Manager Sue Quinn ( Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, harry potter and Pirates of the Caribbean franchise) received the Lifetime Achievement Award. A key figure in location management for three decades, Quinn is known for seamlessly blending real-life locations with the magical world in nearly 40 films.
and location manager Bill Bowling (Jupiter Ascending, Cloud Illustration) received the Trailblazer Award, celebrating fifty years of career in the production industry.
Rachel Harris (“Suits,” “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” “The Hangover”) hosted the event at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. The award recognizes films, television and commercials where the creative use of location sets the tone, enriches the characters and enhances the narrative of the story.
