The stinger is one of the funniest scenes in the entire trailer. We see Carrey also playing Gerald Robotnik. In the game, when Shadow reawakens and attempts to destroy the world, Gerald is long gone. Here we see a grandfather and grandson meeting and embracing. Gerrard is the secret villain Sonic Adventure 2he initiated actions to destroy the world before his death to avenge Maria’s death. The whole big emotional twist of the game is that Shadow remembers Maria’s ultimate wish to bring hope to humanity and save the world instead of destroying it. So if Gerald is still alive, I’m curious how Sonic 3 Deal with this storyline. It’s also possible that Robotnik can talk to his grandfather through some magical gibberish. Knuckles It means that the dead can talk to the living. I’m not used to Gerald Robotnik being portrayed as anything other than a sad mad scientist, so we’ll see where that goes.
Sadly, it does look like Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Batrouge and Amy Rose, two key characters, will be omitted Sonic Adventure 2 story unless they pull one Spider-Man: No Way Home And keep them away from marketing. But given the short runtime, I wouldn’t be surprised if they wanted to streamline Shadow’s debut, which might mean Rouge and the layers she brings to the story might have to be left on the cutting room floor.
