Sony has announced that 13 new games will be added to PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Plus Premium next week on July 16th.
There are some great games in this selection, but there are two in particular that I want to recommend. First and foremost, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is a beautiful isometric RPG that’s well worth playing. I tried it out on my computer and had a great adventure. I had some concerns about the console port, but according to the good folks at Push Square, the game plays great on a controller.
The second one that deserves praise is Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters. Between the recent releases of Sly Cooper and Daxtar, I’ve been playing the retro platformer and loving it. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is a game that I, like Daxtar, have missed since I never owned a PSP, so I’m looking forward to picking it up. I’m honestly not sure why Sony would choose to emulate PSP games before major PS2 games, but hopefully this is a sign that major PlayStation 2 games will take a leap forward as well.
