Earlier this year, Square Enix announced a new line of action figures to celebrate the Final Fantasy VII Reborn. The designs are reminiscent of the looks of the characters from the original 1997 PlayStation game, and the characters themselves will start shipping later this year. I want it all, but I probably need to win a few more shave awards before that happens.
Figures of Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerys and the rest of the gang are part of Square Enix’s Bring Arts series of gaming collectibles, and come with their own weapons and adjustable ball joints that allow them to Strike an action pose of your choice. Unlike some articulated figures that occasionally sacrifice appearance for flexibility, I actually think all of these look surprisingly good. Well, maybe not That Surprising considering the price.
Each figure is approximately $120. If you want them all, it’ll cost about $1,200. Add in Cloud’s Hardy-Daytona motorcycle, and you’re looking at another $120. Still, it’s an attractive proposition. In addition to each character’s weapons (from Cloud’s nemesis sword to Sephiroth’s Masamune), each figure is nailed with a host of intricate little details that make the original character portraits look great nearly three decades later. So iconic.
this Final Fantasy VII Remake and rebirth The game is surprisingly great, but the retro charm and personal nostalgia means I will always Love the look of the original 1997 version of Planet Saviors. Some final fantasy 7 Brings Arts figures are expected to begin shipping in late 2024, with additional figures arriving in summer 2025.
